If you are experiencing difficulties with NGCView, we suggest you try two things before submitting a trouble request.

  1. Make sure you are using the latest update for your version.  The Downloads area lists the latest service releases for Rainman Software products.
  2. Review the NGCView Knowledge Base.

NGCView is the result of a 7 year collaboration of dedicated amateur astronomers and professional programmers at Rainman Software.  Unlike  most programs, NGCView relies 100% on the users for guidance in adding new features.  All requests for new features are filed and ranked in order of frequency.  Those most asked for are added first.  The result is a program which departs from the traditional astronomical software paradigms of planetariums, ephemerides and text-based database programs.  NGCView is a fusion of the best qualities of all three into a single program designed to optimize the time you are looking through an eyepiece.  We actively encourage you to submit requests for new features or tell us how we can improve existing ones.
